Our Philosophy

At our preschool, we believe every child is naturally curious, capable, and full of potential. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we create a learning environment where children ages 2–5 explore, wonder, and grow through meaningful play and connection.

Children as Capable Learners

We see children as confident explorers with their own ideas, interests, and strengths. Their questions and discoveries guide our curriculum, helping us shape learning experiences that reflect what matters to them.

Inspiring Indoor–Outdoor Learning Spaces

Our environments are designed as places that invite creativity and exploration. Nature play, open-ended materials, and flexible spaces encourage children to experiment, collaborate, and express themselves freely.

Learning Through Relationships

We believe learning happens best in community. Strong bonds between children, educators, and families create a foundation of trust, joy, and shared discovery.

The Hundred Languages of Children

Children communicate in many ways—through art, movement, building, storytelling, dramatic play, and more. We honor these “hundred languages” by offering rich materials and creative opportunities for expression.

Educators as Guides and Co-Learners

We believe learning happens best in community. Strong bonds between children, educators, and families create a foundation of trust, joy, and shared discovery.

The woman appears to be putting items into a blue bag, while the girl on the left looks at the table and the girl on the right stands next to her. The table has scattered magazines, a pink lunchbox, and baskets with toys and miscellaneous items. The background features educational posters, backpacks, and a bulletin board.

Emergent, Project-Based Learning

Our curriculum grows from the children’s interests. Whether exploring nature, building structures, or investigating big questions, longer term projects help children develop curiosity, confidence, collaboration skills, and a love of learning.

Families as Partners

We believe parents and guardians are children’s first and most important teachers. We value ongoing communication and collaboration with families and welcome their insights, participation, and perspectives. Together, we work to create a supportive community that honors each child’s growth and individuality.
